Overview: The Mobile maintenance facility is
part of EADS CASA North America, which is
responsible for business development and
aircraft sales in the North American market, as
well as support of the C-212s and CN-235s
used in the region for government missions and
cargo/airfreight service. EADS CASA North
America is part of the larger
EADS North
America, which oversees all U.S. operations of
Europe's EADS.
Parent: EADS CASA North America is the
marketing and support organization for Spanish-
based EADS CASA (Construcciones
Aeronauticas S.A.) of Madrid, Spain, which is a
subsidiary of the European Aeronautic Defense
and Space Co., headquartered in the
Netherlands. CASA was formed in 1923 in
Seville, Spain.
Noteworthy: CASA became a member of the
Airbus Industrie Economic Interest Group in
1972. CASA along with Daimler Aerospace
(DASA, Germany) and Aerospatiale Matra
(France) formed EADS in 1999. EADS is the
second largest aerospace and defense company
in the world. EADS CASA’s export market
accounts for 80 percent of the company’s

Overview: EADS CASA at Mobile Regional
Airport is a maintenance and training center
that services planes flown by the U.S. Coast
Guard, including the Seville, Spain-built
HC-144A Ocean Sentry, based on the CN-235.
Other aircraft supported by the Mobile center
include the C-295 and C-212, all twin-engine
multi-role airlifters.
